COMMUNION
Communion is a central sacrament in the Catholic faith, representing the act of receiving the Holy Eucharist. It is rooted in the Last Supper, where Jesus shared bread and win with His disciples, declaring them to be His body and blood. This sacrament is not only a memorial of Christ's sacrifice but a means of grace that strengthens our relationship with God and the church.
- Parents of children older than second grade who have not received First Reconciliation and First Communion should contact Elise Sas at ESAS@SGFP.ORG for assistance in preparing and receiving the Sacraments.
- Second graders enrolled at Our Lady of the Rosary School, St. Christopher School, and St. Peter School, and St. Gabriel Children's Faith Formation Religious Education will receive an online registration form to notify the CFF office of the parent's intent to have their child receive the Sacrament of First Communion and First Reconciliation.
- One may choose the name of a Saint or loved one with whom he or she connects, is inspired by, and is a go-to intercessor.
